The students, along with Dr. Melinda Rhodes, assistant professor of journalism, attended the OSBA and Society of Professional Journalists (Central Ohio chapter) Law and Media Conference 2007 on Oct. 5. Topics covered included Ohio Sunshine Laws, reporter's privilege, a privacy and libel update, the role of the judiciary, public records law, legal issues faced by bloggers and wartime coverage. Presenters and participants included practicing attorneys and judges, professors, news directors, editors, reporters, news anchors and journalism students from across Ohio.
