Ohio Wesleyan is one of the few schools in the country to offer a rich liberal arts education with a professionally oriented majors in journalism and communication. Undergraduate journalism and communication students learn the how's and why's of their profession but also acquire a wealth of knowledge from Ohio Wesleyan's liberal arts curriculum.
OWU's new Communication major blends the intellectual breadth of a liberal arts education with a deep understanding of communication strategy and experience in digital media production. All Communication majors gain real experience through an internship, and you complete an in-depth capstone project, mentored by a faculty member.
To obtain a minor in Communication students must complete 5 CU’s and maintain a GPA of 2.0 or higher within the minor. The minor includes two required CORE courses and three electives. : COMM 100.1 OR COMM 111, COMM 210, and THREE electives (choose any three courses with a COMM prefix to fulfill the elective requirement).
OWU is people. Brilliant, engaging, passionate, friendly, genuine people. Meet some of them here.
